CURUG KANTEH

How many waterfall dou you know in Banten Province, I only know waterfall Cihear and Curug cimayang. Cihear waterfall location is on Mountain leutik in the area of Halimun salak between Cigobang village and Ciladeun village, Lebak gedong district, Lebak regency and Cimayang location is on Bojongmanik district, it’s not so far from my home. When I was searching on Google about Lebak information I got an article. The article is about Curug Kanteh. On that article I got information that Curug kanteh location is on south Lebak. Suddenly cross on my mind, I’ve been on south Lebak for inviting my friend’s home on Bayah. If I know this information before I went maybe I will visit that place. I got information from an official Lebak website. It wrote that Curug Kanteh’s height is about 80 meters with 3 terraced pools underneath. Its location in Cikatomas village, Cilograng District, on Lebak regency, in Banten Province. From district capital it only 5 km, it’s not really far to be reached.

Why is called Curug Kanteh, kang Yusuf told that there is a story behind The Kante name. Once upon the time there was a prosperous village where every person has a lot of treasure. And, there was life a rich old man. He was not only rich man, but also has a high knowledge and every villager respected with him. It was a tradition if every harvest all villagers do an event to show gratitude to God. Unfortunately, that year was a bad harvest. It was only an old man who had a good harvest, and the old man did big thanksgiving. That grace was more than before. Ant at that event old man gave a word to villager that he would help villager made irrigation. After that event, old man and all villagers did irrigation. The irrigation made from the top of the hill to the bottom of the hill. It was big challenged because the hill was too steep and many ravines. It’s easy to fall and died if not careful. It made the villagers couldn’t pass but, fortunately there was an old man with his knowledge. He did something, it was like a magic that made all villagers could move and pass the ravines. But it was a problem for his old man; he could move the people, but couldn’t move herself so he fell accompanied the big water. And, suddenly it created waterfall. To commemorate the old man, villager gave the waterfall name with Kanteh,

That is sort story of Kanteh waterfall.

CIHEAR WATERFALL

It’s my first time I went to Lebak gedong, my friend invited me to went to her home only for “ngaliwet*”, cooking in open air with simple food. Ngaliwet is such a simple party, we meet, chat and cook together, for me, I usually do it in open air like in the garden, backyard or sometimes in the boarding house. When I was in The senior high school is the time while I always do that (ngaliwet)

Ngaliwet is an simple effective way for keeping us in touch.

Well, forget about ngaliwet, actually I want to tell you about Cihear waterfall, as I mentioned in the beginner that I went to Lebak gedong, while we were cooking rice my friend told me that there was a beautiful waterfall near here, cihear, the local people call it, honestly I knew nothing about it. That way I was just silent heard my friends speak about what a beautiful Cihear is, I was so curious then I opened my browser and searched it

My friends told me that Cihear is so famous waterfall in Banten province and invited by many tourist, not only from Banten but also from the others outside Banten province such Jakarta, Bogor, Depok. Surely that we will full of enjoy spectaculer views there.

The real atmosphere natural with nice melody of falling water, make the tourist hard to leave cihear. The water flow is very heavy with the high of 25 meters and the width of 6 meters, make cihear is most challenging to be explored. The location access is easily, make cihear never ever desolate

Along the way to the Cihear waterfall, we may find a verity of rare fauna such Java eagle, monkey, etc

Cihear waterfall can be reached from Jakarta through Balaraja 100 km or 80km from Serang through Pandeglang, Rangkasbitung, There are three possible rote

First rote is Jakarta Tanggerang toll and exist to Balaraja toll through Asem Cikande Jawilan t-intersection to Kopo Rangkasbitung Sajira Cipanas and Muhara village of about 2,5 hours trip

Second rote is Jakarta serang toll to east Pandeglang through Rangkasbitung Sajira, Cipanas and Muhara village, abaout 3,5 hours trip

Third rote is Bogor, Leuwiliang, Jasingga, cipanas and than Muhara village, about 3,5 hours trip

17 agustus

17 AGUSTUS, Bulan ini jalanan rame dihiasi kaen merah putih serta berjamurnya pedagang bendera, tak ketinggalan dengan aktifitas berjemur tim pengibar bendera untuk acara punjak tanggal 17 ataupun sedang giatnya tiap sekolah mempersiapkan tim PBB (bukan pasukan bencong-bencong y, dibaca pasukan baris berbaris) tak lupa tim mercinband yang lagi rame-ramenya maen musik buat pawai nanti, setidaknya begitu lah gambaran umum 17 agustus di daerahku, Rangkasbitung. Banten, I tell you that I’m not nasionalism makanya saya tidak bisa membuat artikel tentang memaknai tujuh belas ini

Tanggal 17 ini menggambarkan ulang tahunku yang telah lewat 3 hari, 14 august is my birthday, it’s has been 3 years I face my 17th august with difference, semasa SD tanggal ini tanggal berjermur masal untuk upacara and listening audio proclamation who is read by ir Soekarno, tak begitu paham dengan kejadian macet dijalanan saat bendera dikibarkan dan pengemudi kendaraan berhenti untuk hormat

while in junior high school,  august 17, it’s day I had to be more busy to prepared for the chalenge, perlombaan baris-berbaris, panas-panasan tiap hari untuk sebuah tropi yang di pajang di kantor sekolah.

Semasa SMA 17 agustus, masanya saya ngiri dengan tim pengibar bendera dan tim mercinband and also I have to face that day to prepare a competition,masa-masa jadi OSIS datang pagi nyiapin perlombaan 17 agustusan, I wish my body be more tall so that I would be chosen to be one of tim pengibar bendera, hihihi

and this day, I don’t know how to pass aug. 17, maybe just go work and chat with my work friends about my previous aug. 17 , no longer to get stuck on  ceremony or see someone break down coz fainted while ceremony, or prepare for  august competition or prepare for  august parade,, all that activities what I miss

I’m not clever one to know how to regard the  august 17 but I know that I have to say thank you for every hero who brings independence day to us. surely while moderator ceremony said mengehingkan cipta I pray for my hero sincerity

ah I’m embarrassing cos I’m not nationalism, well how about you, bagaimana anda  memaknai 17 agustus ?

 I live in Rangkasbitung now, Banten province, although it’s not my home town but I feel so comfortable and proud of living in here as Banten resident. I dont know why, seem I had been a little forgotten about  my hometown since I moved on Rangkasbitung, here I found many friends   and the important thing is my story begin in here, ups let’s forget about that because I wanna tell you about Baduy

as I said before that I live  in Rangkasbitung, it means Baduy village is near with my place, what is Baduy ?, wikipedia said   “The Baduy (or Baduy), who call themselves Kanekes, are a traditional community living in the westeren part of the Indonesia province of Banten, near Rangkasbituung”

Orang Baduy By Kirana On the Mood

Baduy people live in traditional way, although there is baduy who live in modern way. we call Baduy dalam (inner baduy) for baduy people who still keep traditional way in in their life. Baduy use sundanese language but it’s little bit different with my sundanese language, bahasa sunda kasar(rough sundanese) use Baduy as their language. 

Generally,  there are two kind of Baduy, Baduy dalam,(inner Baduy) and Baduy luar (outer Baduy). Inner Baduy  their life is real traditional and  seldom or maybe forbiddent to get contact with outside word, typically inner Baduy for man use white long sleeves clothe called “Jamang Sangsang” and use  black blue “sarong” for the bottom. In the head they use white headband and for the women use black blue sarong of the heel to the chest and for outter Baduy, called “Penamping” use black clothe  called “Kampret” and use dark blue headband with batik pattern. not only inner Baduy but also outer Baduy always carry gun “golok” tucked behind their waist and Koja (koja it’s bag) wherever they go.

To fulfill their need on the clothe, Baduy tribe weave themselve and it is perfomed by mowen, begin from seed to plant cotton and than harvested, spun, untill woven according to his trademark.

Sawarna

it’s has been long time we discussed this, when we go to sawarna  together, it’s our planning but until now it’s just like the plan on our notebook. One of my campus friends live in bayah, her home is near sawarna, I wish this idul fitri’ holiday we go there,

why I have such a big obsession .  I want to go there, it’s all because sawarna beach is so beautiful as bali, yups we’re  banten people call sawarna is Bali in banten. sawarna location is on bayah, Banten province in java island,  the beach still nature with the white sand, surely it can be holiday that never being forgotten if we’re go there. As long as coast, there is a lot of nice destinations such river, jungle and cave. There is a big coral that local people call it with “tanjung layar”(sail cave ). Surely we don’t want to close our eyes if we do snorkling , a lot of fish with different color and beautiful coral will spoil our eyes.

Don’t forget also to invite awesome cave around the beach with many kind of size such cimaul cave, singalong cave and bukit pasir tangkil. Cave in sawarna is kind of karst cave. Sawarna beach is suround by ocean, mountain and rice field

I always ask my friend to bring me “sale” if she go to bayah, sale is one of traditional foods from bayah, sale is made from banana.
